DevOps Database Engineer

As a DevOps database engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical systems, with primary focus on databases. Here at JFrog, we are constantly building new infrastructure, while scaling out our existing infrastructure, using cutting-edge technologies to meet and exceed the scaling demands across multiple cloud providers and geographic regions.


  • As the DevOps database engineer, you will be part of the DevOps Infrastructure & Security team.
  • Handle all database-related management and maintenance issues, Perform Databases usage investigations, monitoring, while promoting an optimization roadmap.
  • Collaborate in a global “DevOps” environment working closely with DevOps, R&D, Support, SRE, departments to optimize queries and processes.
  • Work with the teams to enhance Production stability, availability, and reliability.
  • Design and manage different monitoring and observability tools for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years hands-on experience working with PostgreSql database regarding management, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization.  
  • Hands-on Shell and Python experience
  • Knowledge and experience with scripting languages like Python and Shell (Bash)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, and driven team in a context-switching environment with teams distributed across multiple time zones. 
  • A  Go-getter with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to take on wider responsibilities.
