Assistant Controller, Revenues

We are looking for a talented assistant controller to join our revenues team.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with various levels of the organization and play a major role in defining our revenues accounting, revenue policy and compliance, as well as taking part and leading  processes related to accounting, business and process automation.

As an Assistant Controller in JFrog you will...
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including monthly revenue recognition and commission capitalization in compliance with ASC 606, monthly revenue analytics and deferred revenue account reconciliations
  • Serve as one of the finance organization's subject matter expert of revenue accounting and collaborate cross-functionally with AR, IS, legal, sales and sales operations to provide guidance of technical accounting, policy and process issues around revenue recognition
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and partner with other departments to streamline the processes related to revenue and create best practices across the organization
  • Review contracts in order to apply the appropriate revenue recognition method in accordance with relevant accounting literature and the Company's revenue recognition policy
  • Assist with  updating the Company's revenue recognition policy on a yearly basis and when and if needed
  • Work closely with the Company's external auditors to ensure approved revenue policies are adhered to and monitored and prepare schedules and reports in support of annual audit ensuring that all revenue deliverables are met
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed, both  revenue and business related
To be an Assistant Controller you need...
  • CPA with Big 4 experience. Experience in the tech industry is an advantage
  • Working knowledge and experience with ASC 606 is an advantage
  • Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive, hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Working knowledge and approach to financial systems such as NetSuite, Zuora and Salesforce.com is a big plus
  • Ability to analyze and interpret customer contracts
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional business partnering skills, with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company.
  • Proven track record of driving projects to completion
  • Highly proficient in excel
