About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of JFrog Platform Services—trusted by Fortune 100 companies worldwide. Your work will directly impact the seamless performance of our products under peak loads.
What You'll Own
- Lead performance engineering initiatives for mission-critical JFrog Platform products.
- Build self-healing, reproducible load test environments within k8s.
- Identify system bottlenecks across backend services written in Golang and Java and optimize them using deep profiling tools.
- Design realistic customer-lookalike test environments simulating real-world latency, burst loads, and network conditions.
- Deliver executable insights, not just charts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand domain challenges and design comprehensive performance and load tests.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance engineering (not just QA) focused on distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as Locust, k6, JMeter, and BlazeMeter.
- Experience with tests on Distributed Environment (Kubernetes).
- Skilled in SQL and scripting languages such as Python/TypeScript for test automation and harness development.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly explain performance bottlenecks to developers and stakeholders.
- Experience monitoring abilities in Corologix/Grafana - Advantage
- Strong Experience profiling backend code in Golang and Java - Advantage
